EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

Nowadays, more and more people are struggling with their health- particularly their mental and emotional wellbeing, including stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout. These challenges can show up in many ways- physically, emotionally, or as a combination of both- often leaving you feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself.

Many of us have learnt to master the perfect poker face. We push on to be “strong,” and not opening up has become a conditioning that’s hard to break. In reality, however, this approach is unsustainable in the long run and, quite frankly, exhausting.

When our health starts to feel like it’s working against us, everyday life can become much more challenging. Things that once felt simple- work, spending time with family and friends, or even just doing the laundry- can suddenly feel like hard work, and we may find there is a lot less left in our ‘tank’.

Having experienced my own health ‘road bumps’ in my twenties, including anxiety and panic attacks, depression, glandular fever and chronic fatigue - I understand first-hand how it feels when life becomes more of an uphill battle than something that flows with ease.

Simply, these symptoms are seen as signs that something within the body, mind and spirit has fallen out of balance. Through Five Element Acupuncture, the aim is to gently restore that balance, so your health can get back to working as it’s meant to- and you can feel like yourself again.

“The key to mastering health is to regulate the yin and the yang of the body. If the yin and yang balance is disrupted, it is like going through a year with spring but no winter, or winter but no summer.”

- Qi Bo, The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine.
